Enjoy the Winter Break! I am looking forward to waking without an alarm.
1st per/Yearbook: Congratulations! The second deadline was met, and the Yearbook looks wonderful. With the exception of the few remaining pages, you are now split into groups to work on the graduation video or on individual projects. Work will vary depending on what materials we have on hand (8th grade questionnaires, photos, etc.)
3rd per/6th Gr Beginning: Art History Unit! You should be completing your artist interview. The instructions and rubric explain exactly what is expected. Beginning next week, you will be performing your interview for us!
4th per/7th Gr Intermediate: We are finishing a unit on Sumi-E painting. This is a tough concept for Americans who value time and efficiency. Sumi-E requires patience and a slow hand.
Next we will be working on contest entries for the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust.
6th per/8th Gr Advanced: I am STILL receiving compliments on your amazing artowrk hanging in the upper stairwell. We are now working on the large canvasses for the Evening of Honor.
Sketch book next week: Fill three pages however you wish. BE CREATIVE!! Due 2/22.
8th Per/Digital Studio: Almost done with the iMovies. Next you will be learning the Scratch software, created at MIT as an introduction to programming.
